Programme 2015/16

Welcome to our programme of Lifo® Workshops.

Our range of workshops provides a variety of options to help you to gain the most from the LIFO® Method in your work, whether new to LIFO® or an existing LIFO® practitioner.

There are now 3 different types of Accreditation Programmes available: the 3-day Practitioner Accreditation aimed at trainers and HR professionals; the 4-day Sales Practitioner Accreditation where you will learn the key principles and uses of the LIFO® method and learn how to harness and utilise this in every stage of the sales and account management process; and the 4-day Facilitator Accreditation where you will learn the key principles and uses of the LIFO® method and critical facilitation techniques through the LIFO® lens.

Each of our workshops is run by skilful LIFO® Master Practitioners who have many years of experience in using the Method. This is important not just for their understanding of LIFO® but in their ability to give you live examples and real case studies from their personal experiences.

We are also offering our 2-day Sales Programme, Capitalise! as an open workshop. Every step of the sales process is explored in detail using techniques in client research through face-to-face meetings, business reviews, presentations, negotiations, closing and follow-up. Learn and practise applying the "rules of engagement" for differing prospect orientations and appreciate that there is no one right way to sell, as very individual prospect is unique.

Our 1-day Managing Change workshop is also an open workshop. If we can understand how different people will react to change, we can tailor our communications to meet their needs. We know what will be of particular stress to each orientation, what their stress-coping behaviour is, so that we can brief and train managers to recognise the signs, what their first reactions are likely to be, and which strengths they will be able to use as coping mechanisms. Then we can communicate in ways to reassure and persuade, using proven arguments for change that will resonate and keep people aligned.

We hope you will be stimulated and inspired to use this powerful tool through its many applications to achieve positive and lasting change for your clients, your organisations and the individuals within them as the LIFO® Method changes lives. Once experienced, the LIFO® effect continues long after the workshop or coaching session as people grow in their interpersonal sensitivity and improved communication strategies. Ongoing development opportunities for LIFO® Practitioners

These workshops, apart from Coaching, are train-the-trainer workshops with the content geared towards giving you knowledge, resources and practise in applying the specific LIFO® application in your own workshops or other interventions. Our aim is to potentially short-circuit the amount of research and development you would have to do if you were starting from scratch in incorporating the LIFO® Method into a new workshop design or offering.

The workshops are practical and highly interactive and run by experienced Master Trainers. The sharing of knowledge and experience with other LIFO® Practitioners greatly enhances the learning and stimulation of the workshops as well as the opportunity to meet with trainers and HR professionals from many different backgrounds and experiences.

Advanced/Refresher Workshop

Workshop Title: (Licensee workshop only) Lifo Deep Dive - rediscovering the power of Lifo - London

What To Expect: This workshop is for Lifo licensees who have a significant amount of Lifo experience (not necessarily recent!) and either want to quickly refresh knowledge and take it to the next level or want to explore some different applications and the new materials available. Pulling on the latest research into the power of working with strengths to underpin leadership, resilience, performance and well-being we will deep dive into the research and the insights it brings into human behaviour and motivations in new ways. But most importantly we will look at the practice of using Lifo - sharing experiences of different applications in various contexts and making a powerful difference for individuals, teams and organisations.
This is also a great opportunity to have some professional "me-time" too, as we will use our own scores and feedback data to explore the subtlety of sub-scores, blends, perspectives and role-specific behaviours.
The price includes online Personal Style Survey and Report, and Leadership Survey, flash drive with latest materials, refreshments and lunch.

Workshop Title: Sales Accreditation Workshop

What To Expect: Highly interactive, the Sales Accreditation Workshop first introduces the basics of the LIFO® Method - the four orientations, the strength-weakness paradox and the development curve - through the exploration of participant profiles, and the powerful sets of supporting materials. We consider how LIFO® is used for both individual and team development and share case studies, exercises and personal reports to reinforce the learning.
The last two-days are then dedicated to how LIFO® is used in every part of the sales process to increase success rates and profit. Capitalise! The LIFO® selling skills programme is explored in depth, and participants are required to deliver a section of the programme on the last day to their fellow participants. We use actors to illustrate client styles and to bring the learning alive.
Once qualified, Sales Licensees are able to purchase the programme and materials and participate in profit-sharing on workshops sold by Life Orientations Ltd.

Workshop Title: LIFO in Facilitation Accreditation

What To Expect: Whether you are an independent facilitator or a manager who regularly has to lead meetings, workshops or conferences, the LIFO® Facilitator Licensee Programme will equip with you a ground-breaking tool to grow your business or extend your capability by improving the quality and depth of your relationships, as well as give you a wealth of professional facilitator skills and disciplines.
The Accreditation Process
Over the 4-day programme you will learn the key principles and uses of the LIFO® behavioural profiling tool and how to harness and use this in every stage of the facilitation process.
During the first two-days you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the psychology behind LIFO®; understand the definitions and characteristics of the four behavioural orientations; how to set up, administer, interpret and give feedback on profile results. You will be taught the core Six LIFO® Strategies and how to coach individuals to build their own development plan based on their unique blend of orientations. Using a series of case studies and exercises you will be able to deepen your learning and understanding.
On the second two days you will learn how to apply this knowledge to the facilitation environment. This will enable you to focus on developing and coaching facilitator strengths and moderating excesses. Through a series of practical exercises, potential licensees will be able correctly to “Assess, Profile and Bridge” to workshop delegate’s profiles by adapting their facilitation and delivery style, and know how to bring a disparate group together and lead it to perform at its best. Understanding what might be going on for participants (however senior) under the surface, will enable you to constantly monitor and adjust the environment to ensure that the objectives of the session are achieved.
Once trained and licensed you will have access to a full set of reference guides and LIFO® materials that will give you so many options in your facilitation, plus an accompanying PowerPoint Deck with complete training notes, handouts and workshop exercises if you are using LIFO® content as part of the facilitation itself.
